Mathew joined Private Capital in 2012, specialising in investments and holistic financial planning for British expats in Hong Kong and the UK.

With close to two decades of investment and asset management experience, Mathew’s career began in London in 2002 with boutique hedge fund De Putron Fund Management. He then joined AllianceBernstein, a top tier global asset manager, in 2005.

Mathew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds the highly acclaimed Chartered Wealth Manager qualification (Level 7), along with the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (Level 6), the UK benchmark entry-level Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4) and Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualifications.

He is also a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and is a Responsible Officer (CE Ref. BLN469) for our Type 4 and 9 Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) licenses.

At home

Mathew is married to Sana and they have two young daughters, Mia and Ella.

A Derby County fan, Mathew loves playing and watching football, as well as sailing, tennis, scuba diving, golf, backgammon and cookery.
